By Kevin Barrett, http://www.barrettforcongress.us [I will be discussing "Chomsky: Hero or Gatekeeper?" with two leading Chomsky experts this weekend: Michael Morrissey on Friday 6/6, 4-6 pm CT on http://www.gcnlive.com Network 4; and Barrie Zwicker, author of Towers of Deception, Saturday 6-8 pm CT on http://www.republicbroadcasting.org . Also see my recent article "Noam Chomsky Doesn't Want You to Read This.") Noam Chomsky was one of my heroes. As a long-term academic (three MAs, one Ph.D., teaching record longer than Al Capone's rap sheet) I always thought scholars were supposed to be the conscience of the nation. And Chomsky, the "inveterate foe of empire," seemed to fit the bill. But the more I learn about Chomsky, the less I like him. His real role, unlike that of genuine foes of empire like William Blum, James Petras, Michel Chossudovsky, David Ray Griffin, Richard Falk, Richard Cook, Gore Vidal, and many others, appears to be Thought Policeman and Dissent-Marginalizer for the New World Order. Dissent-marginalizer? Chomsky, an anemic speaker with all the charisma of a garden slug, endlessly bashes the USA in a whiney voice, phrasing his criticism in terms that only the sectarian left will agree with. The vast majority of Americans are unlikely to identify with such an unwinningly-phrased argument suggesting that their nation is the root of all the problems in the world. Chomsky's boring, unpleasant style, and his obsessively anti-American argument, identifies anti-Empire with anti-American. Chomksy's status as "anti-empire" idol ensures that only a tiny, self-marginalized contingent of self-hating Americans on the far fringes of the political left will ever oppose the Empire. In reality, the Empire is Anglo-Zionist, not American - it's the same Empire we threw out back in 1776 - and we will need a Second American Revolution to end it. That Second American Revolution will draw on the USA's glorious anti-imperial heritage. It will be steeped in pro-American, rather than anti-American sentiment, and it will be led by charismatic speakers like Bob Bowman and Alex Jones, not whining drones like Chomsky. For details, check out Richard Cook's article on the empire's attack on the USA, or James Petras's call for an American National Liberation Struggle against the Anglo-Zionist occupation of America. Thought-policeman? Chomsky seems to be working overtime to hide the obvious truths of domestic political assassinations by the National Security State (JFK, RFK, Malcolm X, MLK, Wellstone, etc.) as well as the truth about the 9/11 false-flag attack. These are issues that would outrage ordinary Americans if the truth were to come out, and cause Americans to rise up and demand that the perpetrators - the Empire and its intelligence-community minions - be brought to justice. They would overturn the Empire Game board and end the Empire. Isn't that what Chomsky supposedly wants? Apparently not. Many of Chomsky's minions among the left gatekeepers - those with cushy jobs at The Nation or The Progressive or Mother Jones, or those like Amy Goodman who accept CIA money from the Ford Foundation and then cover up the obvious demolition of Building 7 - do not want to overturn the board and end the Empire Game. They, like Chomsky, are happy with their well-paid roles as the friendly critics of Empire. They have no intention of becoming its gravediggers. That role falls to us, the patriots of the Second American Revolution. -Kevin Barrett Lone Rock, WI 6/4/06 * * * THE DEBATE OVER 9/11 NOTES FROM A DYING NATION Number Three By Eric Larsen (full article at http://www.ericlarsen.net/foodforthought3.1.1.2008.html) The matter is entirely different, however, in the case of any person who in any way is or holds him or her self as a leader, adviser, counselor, instructor, guide, interpreter, or public mentor to or of the people of the United States or a significant part of the people of the United States in matters having to do with the political, the socio-political, the cultural, or the politico-cultural affairs of the nation and/or of its people. For any person such as this to be unoccupied by the question (of the obvious 9/11 inside job) or to remain uninvolved in it—let alone to be in any way involved in the suppression of it—is to be, whether wittingly or unwittingly, a traitor to the Constitution and to the republic. This is equally true no matter where a person is placed—or where a person considers him- or herself to be placed—on the "political spectrum." It's as true of, say, such charlatans and right-wing bigots as might hold forth on Fox News as it is of figures like Amy Goodman, Noam Chomsky, Matthew Rothschild, Tom Engelhardt, Arianna Huffington, or even Howard Zinn, who are associated with or associate themselves with the liberal side of things or with the progressive left. Full article: http://www.ericlarsen.net/foodforthought3.1.1.2008.html * * * "Noam Chomsky: Controlled Asset of the New World Order" by Daniel L. Abrahamson Noam Chomsky is often hailed as America’s premier dissident intellectual, a fearless purveyor of truth fighting against media propaganda, murderous U.S. foreign policy, and the crimes of profit-hungry transnational corporations. He enjoys a slavish cult-like following from millions leftist students, journalists, and activists worldwide who fawn over his dense books as if they were scripture. To them, Chomsky is the supreme deity, a priestly master whose logic cannot be questioned. However as one begins to examine the interviews and writings of Chomsky, a different picture emerges. His books, so vociferously lauded in leftist circles, appear to be calculated disinformation designed to distract and confuse honest activists. Since the 1960's, Chomsky has acted as the premier Left gatekeeper, using his elevated status to cover up the major crimes of the global elite. His formula over the years has stayed consistent: blame "America" and "corporations" while failing to examine the hidden Globalist overclass which pulls the strings, using the U.S. as an engine of creation and destruction. Then after pinning all the worlds ills on American imperialism, Chomsky offers the solution of world government under the United Nations...
