When I tell people that I'm running for Congress and my motto is "truth in politics, what a concept" they tell me I'm crazy.  "Truth in politics," one said, "is an oxymoron, just like 'military intelligence' and 'jumbo shrimp.' You don't win elections by telling the truth. You win by telling people the lies they want to hear." 

I beg to disagree. Our nation is drowning in a sewer of lies, and voters in Wisconsin's 3^rd District Libertarian congressional primary just signaled they're about ready to come up for air.

And they often discuss the only slightly less obvious demolitions of the Twin Towers. But they rarely discuss evidence for bombs and arson in other buildings of the World Trade Center complex.

Just what the bleep did the Bush Leaguers think they were doing when they ordered their pathetic puppet Saakashvili to attack Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia? 

That the Bush Administration approved Saakashvili's attack cannot be doubted. Stratfor.com reports: "The United States is Georgia’s closest ally. It maintained about 130 military advisers in Georgia, along with civilian advisers, contractors involved in all aspects of the Georgian government and people doing business in Georgia. It is inconceivable that the Americans were unaware of Georgia’s mobilization and intentions."

"Holocaust Denial" and Double-Standards 

Let me admit this upfront: My favorite newspaper is run by a bunch of holocaust deniers.  

I'm not talking about the American Free Press or any other alternative publication. I'm talking about my favorite mainstream newspaper, the Capital Times of Madison, Wisconsin. 

The Cap Times regularly informs its readers that the estimated number of Iraqi civilian deaths due to the US invasion and occupation is under 100,000. As of the most recent print edition, the number listed was 89,900. The sources listed are the Defense Department, iraqbodycount.org, and nationalpriorities.org. 

The Lancet, one of the world's most prestigious medical journals, says the real number was over 650,000 back in 2006. That means that the real number, as of mid-2008, is well over a million. Combining that estimate with Australian physician Gideon Polya's historical study, we find that a total of 8.6 million Iraqis have been murdered by Anglo-American wars, interventions and sanctions since 1950.

Former "Star Wars" Chief to State Legislators: Urge University to Re-Hire Kevin Barrett! 

On Tuesday, July 29th, the head of the "Star Wars" space weapons program under two U.S. presidents, Dr. Robert Bowman, will ask State Legislators to request the re-instatement of Dr. Kevin Barrett as a University of Wisconsin instructor. 

Col. Bowman, a rocket scientist with a doctorate from Cal Tech who flew 101 combat missions in Vietnam as a fighter pilot, will present his request to the legislature at a press conference in the State Capitol building, Room 330 Southwest, at 11 a.m. Tuesday 7/29/08.

It sounds like Bugliosi has an airtight case. If Bush leaves 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue next January, there should be a squad car waiting to pick him up.

 I am a Ph.D. Arabist-Islamologist and have taught American Civilization, American and English Literature, Religious Studies, Humanities, and many other topics at colleges and universities in Wisconsin, France, and the San Francisco Bay Area. Since 2006, I have been blacklisted and forced out of academia by a McCarthy-style witch-hunt, purely on account of political views I expressed on a radio program. Since the politicians have made it impossible for me to practice my chosen profession, I have decided to run for office on a "fire all incumbents" platform.

Barrett Predicts Brett Favre Will Return to the NFL

Today, while campaigning in Lone Rock, Wisconsin, 3rd District Congressional Candidate Dr. Kevin Barrett predicted that quarterback Brett Favre would return to the NFL, throw at least 20 touchdown passes, and lead the Green Bay Packers back to the Super Bowl.

Barrett believes that the marketing opportunities Favre brings to the table will be too much to resist for both Favre and Packers management. Since the Packers had the youngest team in the NFL last season, with Favre, they could be favored to win the Superbowl.

His tale about al-Qa'ida recruiting white converts for terrorist acts in Europe originated with the British security services as part of their fearmongering campaign to build support for the 42-day detention without charge plan. No shred of evidence was ever offered.

38 Companies Tied to 9/11 Insider Foreknowledge, Profiteering?

Splitting-the-Sky Claims Rockefeller-Morgan-Rothschild Connection 

After 9/11, the American and Canadian Securities and Exchange Commissions investigated reports of massive insider trading by individuals with foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks. According to celebrated Native American activist Splitting-the-Sky, a list of 38 companies under investigation for 9/11-related insider trading was obtained from the Canadian Securities and Exchange Commission by a Vancouver journalist. The US and Canadian SECs, and apparently the journalist, subsequently dropped the case like a proverbial hot potato, despite estimations by experts that many billions of dollars in profits were accrued by people with foreknowledge that United and American Airlines planes would be blamed for an attack that would badly damage or destroy the World Trade Center. The 9/11 Commission, while admitting that apparent insider trading occurred, claimed that it doesn't matter because the guilty parties had "no relation to al-Qaida."

Candidate McCain: A Risky Choice

Many people write to me asking what I think of the current batch of presidential candidates in the U.S. —First, let me make a general observation. The American political process, especially at the presidential level, is inhuman and inefficient. It is a gruesome meat grinder where candidates have to campaign for months in primaries or caucuses in all 50 states, raise tens of millions dollars and see their private lives exposed and criticized. With such a system, it is no wonder that few Americans with high intellect and character are willing to submit themselves to such an ordeal. The current batch of presidential candidates is the result of such a system. You will find no great personalities of the caliber of Abraham Lincoln, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower or John F. Kennedy, even though the more nutty ones have been eliminated. The three remaining candidates are not the best of what America can offer and afford.

James Petras Tackles 9/11 Truth!

James Petras is a Bartle Professor (Emeritus) of Sociology at Binghamton University, New York. He is the author of 62 books published in 29 languages, and over 560 articles in professional journals. I interviewed him for my Dynamic Duo show on March 28^th 2008 and urged him to tackle 9/11 truth. He has done so, magnificently, in the article below. My only complaint is that he has not yet fully digested the implications of the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center, the attack on the Pentagon by rogue US military forces, the apparent shoot-down near Shanksville, and the fact that no Arabs or Muslims were on any of the alleged 9/11 attack planes, as shown by the government's refusal to produce official passenger lists, boarding passes, airline employee witnesses, or authentic security videos - and its refusal of demands by families of the alleged "hijackers" for DNA tests. Paul's Paulestinians vs. Bush's False Flaggers

I have to hand it to Dr. Paul's hard-core "Paulestinian" adherents, at least half of whom, by my rough estimate, understand the ways of the wicked world much better than the misled masses following the other presidential candidates.  Among them it's common knowledge that a "false flag" attack is one carried out against the people of a nation by their own government, then blamed on a bogeyman.   Of course, as Dr. Paul noted above, there are variations of the false flag technique  like the faked Gulf of Tonkin attack that the Johnson administration used to press the nation into the Vietnam War.

Noam Chomsky was one of my heroes. As a long-term academic (three MAs, one Ph.D., teaching record longer than Al Capone's rap sheet) I always thought scholars were supposed to be the conscience of the nation. And Chomsky, the "inveterate foe of empire," seemed to fit the bill. 

But the more I learn about Chomsky, the less I like him. His real role, unlike that of genuine foes of empire like William Blum, James Petras, Michel Chossudovsky, David Ray Griffin, Richard Falk, Richard Cook, Gore Vidal, and many others, appears to be Thought Policeman and Dissent-Marginalizer for the New World Order.
