What the Bleep Do We Know About the War in Georgia?

Why the Bleep Did Bush Unleash It?

By Kevin Barrett, http://www.barrettforcongress.us

Just what the bleep did the Bush Leaguers think they were doing when they ordered their pathetic puppet Saakashvili to attack Russian peacekeepers in South Ossetia?

That the Bush Administration approved Saakashvili's attack cannot be doubted. Stratfor.com reports: "The United States is Georgia’s closest ally. It maintained about 130 military advisers in Georgia, along with civilian advisers, contractors involved in all aspects of the Georgian government and people doing business in Georgia. It is inconceivable that the Americans were unaware of Georgia’s mobilization and intentions."

The Stratfor report highlights "the mystery behind the Georgian invasion" and points out: "In this simple chronicle, there is something quite mysterious: Why did the Georgians choose to invade South Ossetia on Thursday night?"

The utterly predictable outcome has been a triumph for Russia, a disaster for Saakashvili and the USA, and a signal of Russia’s return to great power status. Russia has shown in no uncertain terms that it is in charge of the pipelines bringing desperately needed gas from the Caspian basin into Europe.

Did the Bush Leaguers really think Georgia could whip the Russian bear? Were they really that stupid?

Russia was ready and waiting for Saakashvili's move into South Ossetia. Russian troops had already been mobilized and placed in position. The devastatingly effective Russian response was under way within two hours of the Georgian attack on Russian peacekeepers.

Was this just a case of a massive intelligence failure by the Americans, and an equally massive intelligence triumph by the Russians? Or is there more here than meets the eye?

We need to keep in mind that the Bush regime's two biggest "intelligence failures," 9/11 and the botched occupation of Iraq, were not so much American failures as Zionist triumphs.

The "war on terror" is itself a Zionist intelligence triumph. It was launched by Netanyahu, the ultra-radical Zionist and former Prime Minister of Israel, at the 1979 Jerusalem Conference on International Terrorism (JCIT). As Nafeez Ahmed writes, the 1979 JCIT "established the ideological foundations for the 'War on Terror.'"[i][i]

Fast-forward to 1996. Netanyahu, now the Prime Minister of Israel, commissioned a paper entitled “A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm.” The paper's lead author was neoconservative Zionist extremist Richard Perle.  Co-authors included such neocon Israel-first fanatics as Douglas Feith and David Wurmser--the same folks who will lead the "War on Terror" propaganda campaign after 9/11.[ii][ii] "A Clean Break" argued for (US-imposed) regime change in Iraq. Perle later became the chairman of President George W. Bush's Defense Policy Board, and played a key role in pushing the US into its ill-fated invasion of Iraq in 2003.[iii][iii]

When the Twin Towers were destroyed, and thousands of Americans murdered, Israeli extremists were overjoyed, and the "Clean Break" plan became reality. Netanyahu himself, asked what 9/11 would mean for US-Israeli relations, could barely restrain himself: "It's very good. Well, it's not good, but it will generate immediate sympathy (for Israel)."[iv][iv] More than six years later, he hadn't changed his mind:

The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.

"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."[v][v]

Netanyahu wasn't the only Israeli extremist celebrating the 9/11 attacks. A Mossad surveillance team was arrested in New York on 9/11 after they were caught red-handed filming and wildly celebrating the destruction of the Twin Towers. The New Jersey newspaper the Bergen Record reported that police and FBI field agents searched the Mossad van and found maps of the city with certain places highlighted, box cutters (the same items that the hijackers supposedly used), $4700 cash stuffed in a sock, and foreign passports. The Bergen Record reported that bomb sniffing dogs were brought to the van and that they reacted as if they had smelled explosives. According to the Jewish weekly The Forward, the FBI says that at least two of the detained Israelis were Mossad agents.[vi][vi]

One of the Mossad agents, Sivan Kurzberg, told the police who had arrested him: "We are Israelis. We are not your problem. Your problems are our problems. The Palestinians are your problem."

On 9/11, and again when they invaded Iraq, the Zionists running Dick Cheney's office showed they are capable of sacrificing American interests for perceived Israeli interests. While the Iraq invasion has been a disaster for America, it is a smashing success for the Zionists, since the US has destroyed Israel's most formidable enemy in the region. And that was the real point of the invasion -- to annihilate the nation of Iraq, the most powerful, economically and technologically sophisticated Arab country, in service to Israel. Every US soldier sacrificed in Iraq has died serving the interests of Israel and harming the cause of the USA.

Could the US-ordered self-inflicted wound in Georgia, like the self-inflicted wounds of 9/11 and Iraq, have had an ulterior motive? Could the Cheney regime and its Zionist allies have set the whole thing up as a way to allow Russia to reclaim its great power status in the Caucasus region, in exchange for allowing the US and Israel to have their way in Iran and the Persian Gulf?

Could that be why the Zionists, who are so powerful in the Georgian government, are cheering, rather than lamenting, the Georgian debacle? As the military disaster for Georgia and its Anglo-US-Israeli backers picked up steam, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported on Israel's role in the affair: "Jewish Georgian Minister Temur Yakobshvili on Sunday praised the Israel Defense Forces for its role in training Georgian troops and said Israel should be proud of its military might, in an interview with Army Radio." The article quoted Yakobshvili as crowing about Israel's role in Georgia's alleged glorious military victories against the Russians -- an apparent case of severe denial or outrageous deception.

Reports of a sudden, massive US naval buildup in the Persian Gulf, timed to coincide with the apparent US-Zionist defeat in Georgia, support this interpretation.
